Chemins de Fer Ottoman de Smyrne à Aidin.

La concession pour le chemin de fer de Smyrne (aujourd'hui Izmir) à Aidin fut donnée en 1855.
Deux ans plus tard, la société de Chemin de Fer fut fondée à Londres. Mais la construction du chemin de fer fut prolongée, car il était très difficile de vendre les certificats d'actions. En 1860, la première partie du chemin de fer fut finalement ouverte, puis en 1866, une autre ligne de 166 kilomètres.
La société de chemin de fer fut nationalisée en 1935.
