Action de 500F (48 Reichsmark ou £20 Sterling) au porteur émise à Constantinople en 1903.
La première voie ferrée avait été inaugurée en 1866 pour relier Smyrne à Aydin. Ne pouvant financer eux-mêmes ces constructions, les Ottomans firent appel aux capitaux étrangers en émettant de plusieurs emprunts.
Une concession est obtenue en 1903 pour prolonger la ligne de chemin de fer. La Bagdadbahn, la ligne Berlin-Bagdad entamée en 1903 est achevée en 1918.
