Société fondée par Auguste Doriot (1863-1955) et Ludovic Flandrin qui ont travaillé chez Peugeot puis Clément-Bavard. Ils fondent Doriot-Flandrin à Courbevoie en 1906.
En 1908, ils sont rejoints par Alexandre et Jules-René Parant avec qui ils fondent la nouvelle industrie automobile "Doriot, Flandrin & Parant (D.F.P.)" et fabriquent et commercialisent des automobiles à moteurs Chapuis-Dornier.
En 1926, l'usine sera vendue au fabricant automobile Lafitte qui fermera à son tour en 1928.

Illustré d'un chien avec la slogan "Fidèle & Vite" DFP Courbevoie.
