S.A. des Mines de Cuivre de Sardaigne
Certificate for 1 Founder's Share - Nantes - 1919
The Société Anonyme des Mines de Cuivre de Sardaigne was a mining company created at the end of the 19th century in a context of industrialization and European investment in the exploitation of natural resources. Established in Sardinia, a region historically rich in minerals, its purpose was the extraction and processing of copper using industrial techniques modern for the time. Like many mining companies of this period, its activity was heavily dependent on metal prices and the technical constraints linked to the deposits. The company gradually disappeared over the course of the 20th century, a victim of international competition and declining profitability. Today, it is known mainly through its former shares, which have become prized collector's items in scripophily for their historical and aesthetic value.
