Bearer bond of one hundred gold pesos ($100 m/n oro), no. 017783, of the Argentine Internal Credit 1907 (Crédito Argentino Interno), issued by the Argentine Republic at Buenos Aires on 15 June 1907.

The bond forms part of the 35,000,000 sealed gold pesos loan created under Law no. 4600 of 21 August 1905, servicing 5% interest plus 1% cumulative annual amortisation, payable half-yearly through the National Public Credit Office on 15 June and 15 December. The law's purpose was the conversion of 6% external debt into 5% internal debt — an operation emblematic of Argentina's Belle Époque financial standing, when the country ranked among the world's wealthiest per capita on the strength of grain and chilled-beef exports.

The Bono General printed at the foot of the bond reproduces the full text of the law and the issue contract, naming the international placing syndicate: Baring Brothers & Co. Ltd and J. S. Morgan & Co., London; Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas, Comptoir National d'Escompte de Paris and Société Générale, Paris; Deutsche Bankand Direction der Disconto-Gesellschaft, Berlin; and Ernesto Tornquist & Co. Limitada, Buenos Aires. The face bears the identification countersignature of the three major French banks, together with the French fiscal stamp for foreign securities (1% paid before 1 April 1908), evidence of its circulation on the Paris market.

Signed by Francisco L. García, President of the National Public Credit Office, and the Secretary-Accountant; the contract is countersigned by Eleodoro Lobos, Minister of Finance, under the presidency of José Figueroa Alcorta.
