The first Claridge Hotel was founded in London in 1856 by William and Marianne Claridge. The hotel of London is frequented by high society: Empress Eugenie, Queen Victoria, Brabara Cartland, Eisenhower, Churchill...

In 1894, the hotel was bought by the owner of the Savoy, another legendary hotel in London, and was completely rebuilt. The new Claridge opened in 1898.

The Parisian hotel is located on the avenue des Champs-Elysées. Acquired in 1911 by the powerful La Séquannaise insurance company, the former mansion was demolished and rebuilt by the architects Duhayon and Lefebvre to make it a real palace. Barely completed in 1914, it was requisitioned by the army and the Red Cross and opened to the public after the war in 1918. It closed its doors in 1976.

Head office 49 bis rue Saint-Anne, Paris.
