In 1923 the company changed its name and became "Banque Française pour le Commerce" then in 1976 "Banque Française Commerciale".

It was bought in 1990 by Banque Vernes & Commerciale de Paris on behalf of the Instituto Bancario San Paolo di Torino, which merged to become Bank SANPAOLO.
