Bank created in 1913 by André Berthelot.

The Pekin Syndicate contributed funds to the business.

In 1923 the company changed its name and became "Banque Française pour le Commerce" then in 1976 "Banque Française Commerciale".

It was bought in 1990 by Banque Vernes & Commerciale de Paris on behalf of the Instituto Bancario San Paolo di Torino, which merged to become Bank SANPAOLO.
