Abel dépose un brevet de ski en 1941.
En 1956, Laurent Boix-Vives, reprend les rênes de l’entreprise et va lui donner une dimension internationale
La société sera rachetée par Quicksilver puis par un consortium australien. Elle est depuis 2013 la propriété du groupe suédois Altor Equity Partners.
