Company founded in 1899 by Henry Myron Blackmer (1869-1962) who became the richest millionaire of Cripple Creek in Colorado (Teller county), land of many gold diggers. He will then invest in oil in Wyoming. Caught in a huge financial scandal, he goes into exile in France to escape justice. After 25 years, he returned to the United States, was sentenced there and died at the age of 92. Illustrated thumbnail of a mining operation.
