Focus on the Crédit Foncier de France... The Land Bank of Paris, founded in 1852 on the initiative of the public authorities to organize mortgage loans, particularly for agriculture. It became Crédit Foncier de France in 1854 and was placed under the direction of a governor. It will finance the building constructions of Baron Haussmann in Paris. In 1860, it launched municipal loans and multiplied investments abroad (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, etc.).
