Gold mines near the village of Gondo in Valais, on the border between Switzerland and Italy. 500 workers were employed in the mines.

Edouard Comboul, engineer, was the director. It is most likely his signature that can be found on the right of the share. Suffering from pneumonia, he died in Abyssinia during mining missions in Ethiopia.

The exploitation of the Swiss gold mines ceased in 1897. The share has all its coupons.
