Bond of 100 francs bearer at 4% issued in Paris in 1903.

In January 1896, the State, by decree of the President of the Republic Félix Faure, entrusted the city of Saumur with the task of completing the Saumur-Fontevrault railway network on the Saumur-Poitiers line. This company therefore completed the work of Mr. Monprofit and opened the line at the end of 1896.

After 9 years of operation, the company gave way to the Compagnie des Tramways de Saumur et Extension, a sign of the first financial difficulties of the network marked by the development of the automobile. The company ceased operations in 1929.

Beautiful design of railroads and tramways.
