Illustrated with the portrait of François-Vincent Raspail (1794-1878), chemist, botanist and politician. The son, Emile Raspail (1831-1887), chemical engineer, runs the Maison Raspail for the Drugstore where he sells his father's camphor and his brother's equipment. He founded a distillery manufacturing the Raspail elixir in Arcueil. Sold in 1950, the distillery was acquired by the Bols establishments, manufacturers of liqueurs in Amsterdam.
