Share of 100 francs to bearer issued in Paris 1919 by the limited company Marcadet-Palace-Cinéma with a capital of 1,200,000 francs. Nice frieze.

The company built the hall on rue Marcadet in Montmartre in 1920 with an exit to 67 rue du Mont-Cenis. The architect is Paul Auscher, known for having created, in 1904, the Félix Potin store in the Art Nouveau style rue de Rennes (future Tati store) and the Batignolles-Cinéma (1913).

The movie theater can accommodate up to 2000 spectators. A neighborhood cinema, the Palace took advantage of the boom in talkies in the 1920s. In the 1930s, the cinema joined the Aubert operating circuit.

The Marcadet Palace closed its doors in 1958 for renovation adopting a more modern and comfortable style. A stage makes it possible to offer attractions and is also used for the recording of variety shows or the National Lottery. Johnny Halliday will even take his first steps there at the age of 16, invited on a radio program.

The Marcadet Palace closed its doors in 1973, it was destroyed in 1974 and replaced by a supermarket.
